Bikes Alive are asking cyclists and pedestrians to blockade the junction outside King's Cross station at 6pm today to highlight the 60% increase in deaths on London's streets over the past two years.

 If you get a move on, you might make it!

Seriously, what do other folks here think about direct action such as this?

Do you think it would achieve any positive results, or merely lead to further antagonism amongst road users?

I wonder if we could use this to argue for changes in Stirling also.  I don't think there are many deaths here, but surely we should not have to wait until there is a death...
