Just wanted to congratulate Stirling Council on the work they've been doing gritting the roads recently.  Despite the nasty icy conditions all the main roads have been in excellent condition and very ridable.  In previous years the A820 Dunblane/Doune road has been like a glacier and a total death trap, but so far this winter its been really well gritted and safe, as have all the other 'A' roads I've ridden.  Only critisism I have is that its a shame that they still dont seem to have any pavement gritters, and walking places sometimes isnt easy.
